Tuesday morning, Texas days so far, 19 and counting. This has been a surreal event from the mid 60’s to 100’s in the blink of an eye. To constant drizzle and overcast to abundant sun and incredible thunderstorms. From a 2100 square foot beautiful home to an older 600 square foot Residence Inn hotel room. With all this said, I wouldn’t change a thing. The people in East Texas will steal your heart and almost my daughter. Let me clarify, it really wasn’t them so much as it was me. While at the local supermarket yesterday I was a bit distracted with all the big hair and the pink cowboy boots, not to mention all the fried foods and barbecue. So when they unloaded the cart with the groceries and proceeded to bag them and put them into another cart I walked away with my first-born and 83.00 dollars worth of what I would say were some nice grocery choices. I realized my blunder when the checker yelled, sir, sir, you all forgetting something? I looked back and did realize that my six-pack of Coke was not bagged and yes, my daughter was smiling while looking straight at me as if to say, nice try Dad but your stuck with me!
Grocery shopping will never be the same……..
